i didn't mention a licence but just a basic test to see if they can keep the speed DOWN and can STOP when they have too
this lady stopped all right.
But that's what car drivers also have to learn. It doesn't stop accidents happening.

But I do feel there should be some sort of compulsary training. With push bikes too.

agreed there and how to attach front and rear bike lamps would be a good idea too
I would love one to go to the local shops with thats all I would want it for.
I once saw a big elderly lady who was going so fast on one she went round the corner on two wheels how the thing didnt tip over I will never know.
They ought to have to go on some sort of tutorial when they purchase these things, I have even seen a grandchild perched in the front basket.
Postdog, Looks more like an 8mph scooter to me?
When I am older I am deffo going to have one...and customise it.
I'm waiting to see if Sky ever have a programme called "Pimp My Mobility Scooter"
As I live in a community of bungalows I am surrounded by the bloody things, yet a lot of the users have better mobility than me!
Max 4mph scooters are for pavement travel only but may cross a road.8mph can travel on the main road and are fitted with headlights etc.
