Discharge

Bit of a strange one. I have had a watery yellowy coloured discharge for over a week now. It does not have an odour at all and I have no soreness, swelling, itching or redness, So I am not sure it's an infection. I am post menopause, fit & healthy. Any ideas before I bother the Dr

Atrophic vaginitis
After menopause, levels of estrogen change dramatically and this can cause changes in vaginal tissues called atrophic vaginitis. A thin, watery discharge, sometimes blood-tinged, may sometimes occur, along with inflammation of the vagina and thinning and shrinking of the vaginal tissues. It only occurs in women who are post-menopausal or whose ovaries have been surgically removed. Symptoms may be aleviated with the use of topical estrogen creams.

Always worth a talk with GP or practice nurse.

So, one guesses that it is vaginal discharge.....?????

This is not an infection and is almost certainly hormonal....only a weeks duration......I would do nothing and monitor the situation for the next 4 weeks.

Ooops, sorry, forgot to mention it's from down below...Good job I have a sense of humour with you guys...lol

Keep an eye as I had similar (though it did have an odour) and I turned out to have high levels of yeast when they did swabs so was treated for that. I had UTI like symptoms though.
