I wouldn't normally post things like this but it was quite upsetting hearing it and worrying about what the situation is now.

Mother falls and is unconcious - daughter calls 999 but can't give any details.

If you happen to live in the Leeds area pass this round people you know.

Just watched that. I hope they are okay. She's only 3.
I'm surprised they couldn't look up the phone number to find the house?
Oh dear , my blood is running cold, do hope they get to them in time.
I thought that Ed.
It just said on the news that they couldn't trace the number.
Question Author
I guess it must be witheld. The operator asked the girl if she knew the phone number.
the call was made on an unregistered mobile so no trace
Goodness how upsetting that was to listen to the actual recording. I always thought that phone calls could be traced ................. poor little girl, hope it all ends well. If she has been trained to call 999 surely she may know her grandparents number and their names or names of her nursery school teacher or little friends?
if you buy a Simm card and dont register it on the network (you dont have too) then your annoymous

Can they not look on the electoral roll and find the name - they have found the mothers name it says in the article.
They could still work out the location of the signal based on towers though... if it was mobile.
Question Author
Even so, doesn't the signal just give a general location? (I don't know much about this stuff) but that area could cover a 20 mile radius. I don't think they can be overly specific with it can they?
not everyone is on the electoral role again you dont have to be,
and yes AB i though that and i suppose definitely the would be doing that we will have wait and see it only gives a rough area though ,quite wide.
It tends to be fairly good in built-up areas.
Sounds suspicious to me. Some of the responses didn't sound like they were from a 3 year old. Someone putting a child's voice on perhaps. Hope I am right and this isn't for real.
I thought you did have to be on the electoral role?
Question Author
Thats why I wouldn't normal post this sort of thing Gromit but with it being from the source it's from it seemed like there's a chance it might be real.

Ed, I just have a memory of when Claudia Laurence went missing (might have been someone else) they said the area a mobile signal covered could be miles and not very helpful. Hope you're right though.
Gromit, I hope you are right too.
I agree with Gromit. It doesn`t sound right to me either.
