i have been given a fab set of wardrobes and drawers, which i've painted outdoors. now that they've come into my house though, i can smell a strong must, damp odour. How do i get rid of it?
I don't want to put my clothes in in case they smell too!

Fit a ventilation grill in the top, and the bottom of each wardrobe. Opposite corners for cross-flow, Cris.
You could also leave something inside them for a while to counter-act the existing smell, while the vent grilles allow air to circulate in the future. I'd try soaking a bit of kitchen roll in something like zooflora, and leave that inside. Over time and with the right treatment they will start to smell of your house, but it will take a little while.
