have just come back from the tattooists after getting 3 new tattoos. they look lovely, but hurt a lot. so.....i am currently munching jelly teddy bears, having a cup of tea and coming on ab to distract myself! hope everyone is ok today. what's new with you today? x

hiya! i had a red heart on my hand (in the dip between thumb and forefinger) and that hurt - stung like a mo fo! the other was the 'eye of horus', done on the blade of my right forearm; and the last one was two kanji symbols for myson on the nape of my neck.....so everywhere kinda hurts right now. but that takes my tattoo total to....10. and there will be more....it's addictive and looks pretty! x

Thought about getting some special dates (not the fruit), like the births of my children and maybe when Mr P and I got together.

i also have quite a few piercings, too. ummm....i think i have 8 (discounting the normal pierced ears. my favourite is my scaffold piercing, which is a long bar on my ear through two holes. again, it's experiencing the lovely pain when people start sticking needles in you! x

2sp.....i would recommend getting tattooed. think about what you want very carefully as they are forever....and look at designs out there - there are loads on the internet and different fonts too for dates/symbols etc. i have designed all but 3 of my tattoos as the others are japanese symbols. you can go to a tattoist and discuss your ideas first, without any obligation to go through with it - any decent tattoist will want you to be happy and sure of your chosen design....those that aren't are to be avoided at all costs.

jj....no, unfortunately!!! but i do get lots of people asking me about both tattoos and my piercings. because i designed them, they are special to me. my favourite tattoo is my, hubby's and son's initials all intertwined into one. it's a small tattoo, but very pretty x

p.s. i have always thought long and hard about my tattoos and i have a rule of thinking carefully about what i want and waiting at least 3 months before getting it done....just to be sure. i had a bit of a tattoo fest today, but it only cost £50.

thanks, squad! i am not a painted lady and my tattoos are easily covered up/hidden. they are not horrible green, icky designs that you see plastered all over people. i do have a little bit more taste!! but i understand they are not everyone's cup of tea x
