Another great episode and what a contrast between two of the mothers one who had employed a doula and the other who did not even have a cooker in the house

Agree! Love that programme.
And the very young Mum who looked completely bewildered and kept saying baby was so cute. Couldn't really believe what had happened but i think that she just might make a good Mum.

Oh yes - she kept thinking she would not love her baby - when she was obviously a little shell shocked by the whole experience
I still cannot help feeling the sorry for the woman at the end (we did not see her face) and the woman with no cooker - I think they are prime examples of lack of education
Great programme but I do squirm at some of the way some of the Mum's and Dad's look and behave.
Going to watch this on iPlayer when I get a few hours uninterrupted bandwidth all to myself.Read the book to Call the Midwife,that was amazing how people coped back then and the midwives calling once,if not twice a day for over a week!Imagine that nowadays ha
