Marlon is the dad, whatever you think of him. Tonight though I felt sorry for
Ashley, the way it was all blurted out in front of all and sundry [in the usual soap fashion]. Where's it all going to end?

The problem with all the soaps is too many episodes a week. When they were on a couple of times a week the storylines were much better.

Paddy wants to leave, good opportunity, he asked Marlon to go, he agreed, then dippy Laurel sticks her oar in and bobs your uncle, Paddy having a rant, our vicar getting the wrong end of the stick, so all's well that ends well, or not.

Laurel isn't going anywhere anyway, but now Paddy and Rhona can't go to New Zealand because Marlon has this thing with Laurel, complicated....
