Sore back

A month ago I fell over and hurt my back. (I posted here at the time)

I took ibuprofen and arnica tablets for a week or so and the initial pain did deminish, but I am still not right. I cannot sit for long nor can I stand or walk for long before I get a lower back pain. I'm tired of it now and permanently weary from not getting any real relief from it.
Its not a severe pain, just a long dull ache which I'm assuming is still muscle bruising. Can anyone advise if I should be taking anything or doing anything to improve the situation?
(Never had much luck at the GP with back ache, so haven't bothered to go!)

Obviously you want one who is qualified and experienced - do you know anyone who might be able to give a personal recommendation? It's possible that when you fell, you jolted something out of alignment and some careful manipulation would help and enable the muscles to relax and heal. Wish I could be more help as I know from personal experience how debilitating long term back pain can be. After a month it seems you can do with more than painkillers.
