I don't know about on the way to the wedding but on our way to our honeymoon in Wales we got lost. I went into a pub, for B&B in the village of Witney in Oxfordshire, leaving my wife in the car, and a local woman aged about 60 with bright red dyed hair tried to pick me up, plus they had no vacancies, and we had to spend the night sleeping in the car, a Ford Anglia 105E.
We woke up in the middle of the night with torches being shown in our faces by the local constabulary who were checking us out. (Both my wife and I were in the force at the time as well).
To top it off my wife got cystisis a few days later and we had to return home early. A bit of a disaster all round.
