Maybe even the guy involved as well, for being irresponsible in the face of the enemy maybe!

Ok, So I didnt check that before I posted it! Im sure you can work it out though :-)
She was pregnant before being deployed, so the bloke shouldn't be on a charge.
Question Author
Ok, fair enough, how about the ones that get pregnant while out there?
Birth control [can] fail.....
Question Author
No excuses pasta, we have all heard that one!!
Question Author
apparently 200 women have been sent home for being pregnant!!
I'm not saying that any one should use it as an 'excuse'...only that there is no fool proof method.
If she had conceived out there then it should be a dishonourable discharge. Perhaps there should be some rulethat says all female forces staff should be on some sort of birth control that is more permanent, like the coil or implant, or the injection every 3 months.
Just to clarify my last post, I meant women that are in war zones, not all female staff.

This may be a fair deterrent :-)
I really can't see the problem.

If a (soldier) woman gets pregnant on overseas duty, then she should be redeployed back to the UK.
Question Author
>>dishonourable discharge<<

isnt that how the problem starts in the first place!!

Sqad, that a good cop out of active service! she should face the consequences of her actions! its not a holiday camp on the front lines!
RATTER....are you suggesting that our military females would get pregnant on purpose to get out of active service?

Some may, but in the vast majority i would doubt it.

In World War 2 the Japanese were issued with blow up rubber dolls.....................;)

>>Some may, but in the vast majority i would doubt it.<< we are looking at the >>some may<< the others would be a lot more careful!
These things happen, and I'd hope we've gone further than punishing people for becoming pregnant. Imagine how the child would feel when older if it realised it's existence was the reason it's mother was jailed or court martilled or otherwise punished. Completely barmy perspective since no contraceptive measures are foolproof and it could happen to any female serving personnel.

Well said NOX :-)
Will her son have to be brought up as a Muslim?
Question Author
^^ dont start on that one lol!!
a serving female is pregnant ! while still the troups are being killed, it's all about putting things into perspective and a pregnancy is hardly an important issue ,
