I imagine that tattoo's are seen as "cool", perhaps art, something that is individual to the person or even sexy?

I do not have a tattoo, and appear in the minority (based on people I know and work with and people my age that I see out and about).

But, is it now "cool" NOT to have a tattoo in anyones eyes??

Having a tattoo is a personal choice, it's nether cool or uncool.
Neither cool or uncool, just self mutilation.
I certainly don't want one, I think any tattoo is a mistake.

Good laugh on holiday, an elderly gent said to an otherwise pretty young lady - "Oh dear, love, looks like you've been lying on a newspaper, the print's come off all over your back...." :-)
I don't consider either cool or uncool.
good one, boxy
Tattos are fine on native australian people and the like but they are a little bit 'chavy' on anyone else
Despite the fact that (I believe) HRH Prince Phil has one from his navy days

Everyone seems to be getting inked these days.
I feel that it is like a fashion in its own right, one that I am not following like the "crowd"
I told both my sons I would write them out of my will if they got one
I also said if they did I would get one (like Becks with their names) and to emphasis it I bought some temp tatts from Ebay - sat there with a Manchester United logo on my arm one night - very classy
I love my tattoos and would have more if my other half wasn't against it.
By the way, my first tattoo was in 1986, so long before the current 'fashion' for them.
I really regret having my tattoo (got it at 18). It's one of those ones that may very well say kung po chicken. Luckily you can only see it if I have a bikini on or something but I'm still considering getting it changed.
After many years I still love my tattoo, but it does need re-colouring at the moment. I don't think having or not having tattoos is anything to do with cool...........
Seriously thinking about tattoo number 5 :-)
Neither cool or uncool, just personal choice or a fashion item.
If you see one you really like go for it B00...............
i know what I want (I think) its just waiting for Mr Boo to design it for me and then where it's gonna go.
I've never seen the point in them especially when someone has them all over their body gross!!!
I had my first at the age of 35 after years of wanting one. I love it and will never regret having it done, or the other three...or the one I will be having done as soon as I have some spare cash! [though that will be the last]
I am neither a chav or following the crowd, I wanted one so I got it. Simple.
I haven't got any, being aged, but they're neither cool nor uncool. What is perhaps more of a statement is how visible they are and when.

EvianBaby's probably says "Very cheap served with noodles". It's not a good idea getting one in a language you can't read.
Couldn't agree more Jno! Which is why I'm glad I at least had the sense to have it done in a place that's not often in public viewing.
