An X-ray on my lower back and the appointment letter says "the examination will not be carried out if you are beyond the 10th day of your menstraul cycle" why is that?

Because you just might be pregnant & they are paranoid about possible damage to the foetus.

sd I do hope not..not at my age and they do have my dob so should know its very unlikely

If you still have a menstrual cycle, you could be pregnant .... if you don't then the time limit doesn't apply.

sd thanks hope they can find out by the xrays whats going on with lower back I shouldn't be having menstrual cycle but still as regular as clockwork.
