FAO Horseshoes

FAO Horseshoes - I goofed up in the previous one,writing it in the singular horseshoe, so with a little correction (and please ignore the previous one)

Horseshoes claimed that she has been left "odeless" by me

I was walking down a Cornish country lane
choosing berries for a Halloween pie
my lips and fingers dyed with purple witchy stain
and yet another bursting fruit I tried.

I was humming a favourite Bard poem
in oblivion as I roamed
along with nature, now as one
I had forgotten being away from home.

It was then I found a pair of horseshoes
could this indeed be my charm
would it make my dreams come true
and bring love to my empty arms.

I cleaned them up, now metal gleaming
My Horseshoes hung over the clematis-ed door
An expression of love in my dreaming
That soon I wouldn't be empty anymore.

In a dream, my Horsehoes revealed
the truth of things that are to be
Love's destiny may indeed be sealed
But Nature's Providence has brought you to me.

This shouldn't be a transient love
But a passionate, arduous, sensual and true
A blackberry on the tree above
and the uncovering of a pair of lucky Horseshoes.

thanks Sibs, think she may have missed it but she may still be around.....I wrote three additional verses to the Halloween poem too so as to sweep up the others that I missed!
