dry eyes (sjorgen's syndrome!)

hello. i have sjorgen's syndrome and that means my eyes are very very VERY dry and i have to constantly apply my prescribed artificial tears. my gp has prescribed me loads of different gel tears and nothing helps. will my eyes ever be moist again?! i don't want to be a loser applying gel tears in my eyes for the rest of my life :(:(:( please help me. thanks. bye!

Is surgery something you would consider? if so you could have a 'punctual occlusion' which basically means blocking tear drainage form your eye.

Alternatively you could opt for 'temporary duct closure'  with collagen plugs (dissolvable so don't know how long the effects last for). Silicone plugs are more "permanent" until they are removed or fall out.

tried to look on the web for some success rates, but have dawn a blanks o may be worth asking your  opthalmologist.

My sister in law has a condition that sounds like yours and uses drops all the time.  She has been to Jordan twice and finds that dead sea water helps.  Maybe you could google it and see it anything comes up.  You might be able to buy it somewhere.
