I’m fortunate to be invited out for Xmas lunch this year and barely have any cooking/entertaining to do over the Xmas so I would like to do a special tea on Xmas Eve and breakfast on Xmas morn – there will just be two of us – and we have hearty appetites and like most things!
Does anyone have any ideas or anything particularly special they prepare for these occasions?

I once bought some Chocolate Bread for my boys when they were little and up at 6am to open their toys - not the pain au choc - it was horrid - never saw it again
I can only speak as coming from an Italian family. Christmas Eve is a big deal there and Christmas Day is a big deal here so we go for it big style! lol
Christmas Eve we would nornally have a starter of big prawns, clams, mussels and antipasto, then we would have spaghetti with garlic, chilli, olive oil and anchovies, then steak or braciole with salads.
Christmas morning we either have eggs benedict or american style pancakes, bacon and maple syrup.
Xmas morning with usually have smoked salmon and scrabbled eggs with a glass of fizz.
we usually have crossoints with luxury jam and bucks fizz for Bfast on Xmas morning. A real treat for us as normally its a slice of toast and quick coffee
Same as ummm, we always have scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and Bucks Fizz.
Honey roast ham and eggs and a glass of champagne is the only part of the day that's still special.
Christmas Eve, I am not ashamed to say its "Iceland" Buffet food and drinks at our house. I want to entertain my guests not be stuck in the kitchen which I would be as Roasts are not my strong point!
Christmas Morning I will do an English Breakfast for the 3 of us.
Christmas Day (pm) is my parents house as is tradition for Turkey and all the trimmings, a few drinks and usually asleep infront of the TV by 8pm!
Boxing Day is DVD and turkey sandwich day!!
We have bucks fizz for breakfast, croissants, butter and jam, and scrambled eggs.
Christmas Breakfast for me, is smoked salmon, Quails eggs, and Cavier with some soft brown bread and coffee ( Church after that so no Bucks Fizz unfortunatley) X
Same as boxy and ummmm..................

I love salmon, unfortunately I'm the only one! I was thinking eggs benedict for Xmas morn, but the hollandaise sauce is worrying me a bit.... I think I'll just put a host of nibbles out on Xmas eve as I'm sure a few drinks will be flowing too!
My Auntie and Uncle have a champagne breakfast on Christmas morning. I have my usual weetabix! Maybe a bacon buttie a wee bit later on! Haha!
Bacon sarnies always on xmas morning.
I hardly have any breakfast on Christmas morning, otherwise it would spoil our lovely Christmas lunch!
