can I take Lansoprazole and Metronidazole together? I started the two tablets together yesterday and I am having very bad stomach pains, a lot of it feels to be trapped wind but it just keeps coming straight back, I have suffered other side effects with them like nausea, being sick, light headedness, feeling sleepy. Does anybody know if this is a normal side effect of should I visit my GP?

DAVE...yes, your symptoms are almost certainly side effects of the Metronidazole and in a male, the drug is given for a very good reason. Take the tablets with a full glass of milk or water and persevere.

Yes, you can take them both together.

Have you still got the information leaflets which came with your medication?

yes but I cant find anything relating them both, or about the pains?
Metronidazole causes awful side effects, nausea and/or vomiting is one of them, I was prescribed them once but they made me feel so bad I went back to my GP who gave me a prescription for Maxolon anti sickness tabs to take with them.
