Any suggestions on how to get rid of earworms - those annoying snatches of songs you can't get out your head?

Currently suffering from an acute dose of Meet the Flintstones by the B52s.

in my experience it's no good listening to something else unless it's something worse... and that's no good.

It has to be one of the worst things, I thought I was going mad when I got a severe case of earworm, Alfonso the Toreador drove me potty for weeks.

Finally got rid of it last night by listening to some bad british disco - tina charles, fox, kelly marie.

I don't know the cure - but you should be aware that earworms are highly contagious in some cases. I must now thank you for infecting me with the dreaded Flintstone virus ;-)
