foot cramps-help!
8 Answers
hi, i keep getting cramps in my feet for no apparent reason.i was just wondering, therefore, if anyone knew of any way to avoid them..?they last up to 3 hours and render me immobile!my toes feel like they're crossed but of course, they're actually not.the pain is unbearable.i seem to get them most frequently if im walking on uneven surfaces, place more pressure on foot rather than on both or if im walking down hill.i've heard that being dehydrated can cause these cramps but i'm not sure thats true in my case....

She wakes up most mornings with cramps or pins and needles in her hands and feet. She also can get the cramps for no reason. I THINK it is something to do with poor circulation as she also always has cold hands and feet!
yea i heard bout the low salt intake too, kazzee69!id say i take enough salt though.in fact i watch what i eat pretty well and make sure i have enough of the right stuff so id be doubtful that its anything to do with my diet :/
however i did break my toe 18 months ago and am wndering if that has anything to do with it...although the cramps do come equally as bad in both feet....
thanks anyway!
I have suffered from cramps in my toes / foot (mainly left) for a good few years now. My cramps are brought on only when drinking alcohol. I have been to my GP who has tested me for several things - gout, lack of salt, calcium and may others. I am waiting to see a Rheumatologist as they have not yet tested me for Athritis plus they kinda ignored the fact that it could be related to bad circulation.
