Could All Religions Be Put Together To Create A Bigger Story To Our Past?

I have minimal knowladge of religions but I believe that all religions have abit of prophesy to them as they all mention or refer to knowladge that science has recently figured out, as brahma of the Hindu religion explains the big bang and the big crunch, or Noah's ark describes a greate flood that we can finally agree the greate flood happend. As these are only small examples from two completely different religions. Has anyone ever tryed to piece together different religions to create a bigger picture of out history.
