Afternoon Everybody!

Well, the present shopping is all done - just need to wrap some of it. I stupidly decided to go to my local Sainsbury's today to get a few bits - totally mental! People were even parking their cars in the trolley bays lol. Queues at tills were right down the aisles to the back of the shops, but I braved it, though I was sorely tempted to open one of the bottles of wine in my trolley.
Got home and did a full roast - pork,crackling, roast potatoes,yorkshire puddings...... and now Mr Smow is fast asleep with a full tummy lol.

And Im having a cheeky tipple of wine!

have just made some creme brulees and roasted loin of pork and veg for tonight's tea. that's enough as arm and is now aching and swollen.

Not long home after coffee with a friend and picking up a few final bits and sorting stuff before heading to my parents' over Christmas. The mini Tesco I went in was pretty quiet though I'm guessing everyone was in the bigger supermarkets, I kept well away from them :)

Just got the washing on and had a quick tea and looking forward to curling up with the cat and having a quiet evening watching stuff with some munchies and an earlyish night.

Could do with cleaning but my lighting circuit downstairs isn't working and don't have enough light to see properly so will have to try in the morning when it's light - got little side light in the living room and lamp think in the kitchen but not enough to clean properly.

Mmmm, that dinner sounds amazing!

Jenna - I always do extra roasties and yorkshire puddings so that we have them cold during the evening, with some gravy if fancied.Delish.

Keeping quiet here, nursing this cold, which is coming out.....supper to come. A glass of wine soon and then an early night to catch up on last night's distinct lack of zzzzzs.

No work done, just two final carols put together....for Xmas morning - and by request. You should look into tomorrow, smow!

I've just been to my Dad's care home to join in the carol service. It was lovely to see him singing and remembering the words of the carols.

I'm needing to tidy up - everything shopped. just need to make a place to sit - oh, and change the awkward outside light bulb by the front door, which has popped.

I am totally traumatised, braved Asda today for the food shop, I should be in the Seychelles now, but that didn't happen due to hubby and grandson. Still, everything done now, feet up until Boxing Day when I will be catering for 20 people.
