Purpose - one month of the booze starting today, a support group to help, cajole, berate any ABers to meet this goal. The benefits being the drying out of the old leather known as the leather and a lack of ethanol in the body helping to lead to weight loss - which can be a couple of pounds a week.

You are welcome to join us and rant away with our grumps and withdrawal symptoms and then become all-saintly and righteous when we get towards the goal.

Any questions? Though sibs and I won't necessarily answer them. Will Sqad contribute on any medically related issues?

I was out at the pub and managed two ginger beers.....really exciting. Mind you the couple of profiteroles in hot choc sauce that were offered were rather tasty.
I'm going to join the AAAA it's for people who have been driven to drink .
This is very interesting. Keep it up everyone. Don't let it beat you. You can be strong.

lol Eddie.....know the feeling.
Good luck !.
not joining us tony?
I had a pint of Becks and then a shandy last night whilst out for dinner, other than that I am doing well. I have decided that I am not going to be rude at social gatherings/meals but no "pointless" consumption at home. That is more realistic!
DT, have you suffered any ill-effects?
another evening with adam's ale. despite being tempted by others.
Into fifth day now but must stop eating!

How is everybody doing.....

I am feeling a lot better for the "diet" - no major food cravings - hate to say it but need the loo at the moment, suggesting that some weight is coming off.

Just been out with friends for lunch; some light ribbing but then they know that I do this annually. Ginger beer again........anybody any suggestion for things not too sweet.

I do not like the Beck's Blues as a non-alchie beer - find them too sulphurous in smell and taste and hate to think how they get the ethanol out.....
Well done all.
Strangely, I have rediscovered my liking for tap water and I think I will only have alcohol on special occasions after January xx

Getting through the weekends is usually the tough bit, tony......particularly with that roast lamb or duck in front of you, or a nice bum-warmer or Chinese needing a cold beer.
Question Author

I can well understand you wanting a cold beer with that menu DT, anyhoo what do you mean when you break it lol.
Yes, what do you mean???
Question Author
