At Easter I was confirmed into the Roman Catholic faith after being a devout aethiest.  It took 2 years of reflection and thinking to come to this decision and since doing so feel so much better in myself

Born and bred devout Roman Catholic, saw the light, left it, dusted myself down and am now what could be called 'Homo Sapiens' or Think-with-my-own-head-thank-you-very-much. I think that the God as classically defined does not exist, and getting out of organized religion was the best thing that happened to me.

Well technically I was brought up in a religious first school and a secondary school with pretensions of a christian ethos - now absolutely free from any cult :)

no i don't know enough about any religion to make an informed decision to choose a faith i would like to follow.

born and bred a devout roman catholic, had it drummed into me, church every sunday, confesssion every saturday, had to kneel by the side of the bed every night to say prayers. when i left home at 18 it was like a breath of fresh air! i did what i wanted, but my mum never knew, it would have destroyed her, so she thought i was still going to church every sunday, i did actually go every now and then, i think it was a guilt thing, she died never knowing, which im pleased about. But then my dad got cancer, and i looked after him + watched him die in pain agony and humiliation. i have never been near a F-----g catholic church again, unless ive got to go for a wedding or funeral .I also went to a convent school run by bloody nuns!
