My mum and my sister both had it for over a week before they felt better, and my 8 month old had it for about 10 days before she wasn't so miserable all the time (although she still is a bit coughy at times)
if your husband doesn't know that a 10 mo baby needs breakfast, then might i suggest that's a little bityour fault for not letting him/making him do it before or telling him this morning "can you take the baby, please don't forget breakfast"? Although i look after my daughter during the day (because he's at work), at the weekends we share the care - firstly i had to write him a list, but nowadays he can do it all by himself :)
On another note, how long were you panning to bf for? perhaps this might be a good time to reduce it, and get hubby a bit more involved in the feeding? I realise this advice is totally unsolicited and probably unwelcome, but just sharing i have found you need to be totally specific with men if you want them to do stuff!
