Resolutions Updates!
2 Answers
Ok so we are a fortnight into 2013, I made some loose resolutions, knowing full well that one has to take a realistic approach to these things!
1. Cut down on alcohol consumption - 3 occassions of drinking approx 8-10 untis each time. (Fairly happy, each occassion was at a function and I have not drunk in the house just for the sake of it)
2. Regular exercise - 6 gym sessions in 14 days ( Again, fairly happy, but could do more)
3. Try to make savings and not waste money - I have sold my mercedes which was taking a sizeable chunk of our finances to insure, tax, fuel and repair/service (now own a diesel astra and getting 62.5 MPG!) I did my first "Big Shop" in ALDI last week and filled the fridge and cupboards for £70 which will keep the three of us going at least 10 days maybe a fortnight (with the exception of daily bits and bobs like milk and eggs).
4. Show gratitude - I realised that I could be quite selfish and take people for granted. I have reviewed just how much my family have done for me lately and I have made a marked effort to see them more and simply thank them for all they have done. I would like to now be in the position to give something back as they gave me all they could growing up.
In conclusion I am making positive changes and although I will slip now and then, thats what life is all about. So I am not setting myself insurmountable challenges such as "Dont drink" "Gym every day" , just doing what I can!!
Hope you have started the year positively, let me know how you are all doing so far!
