Strange Leg Pain

I was woken up in the night by a really bad pain in my calf of my right leg it hurt to move my foot and i was pretty much in agony.it got a little less painful after a while but Its still hurting this morning. i dont think it was cramp

This has happened before but only every now and again , does anyone know what it is?

I've had muscle spasms (I suppose same type of thing as cramps) that have left me feeling as if I have sprained the arm/leg for about a day.  Then is goes totally.  A bit of arnica cream rubbed in may help Gemma.

sometimes the muscle cramps so badly that it atually tears fibres which can result in pain after the cramp has gone. if it has happened before in hot weather, it could be that your salt level is a bit low?

 mabey a charliehorse. i use to get them when i was pregnant. boy, they sure are painfull! hope you feel better.
