OH and I need to go on diets but it is difficult to follow any of the recognised ones as we only like plain English food and not fancy recipes.

We also cannot afford to join Weight Watchers or Slimming World although I hear they are excellent.

I would like to know if there are any organisations who take note of your food likes/dislikes and plan out a week's menus for you (preferably at low cost or even free) Has anyone done anything like this please?

Yes, swimming. Great idea.
Nice gentle exercise, and good for the joints.
from what you've said about your diets, i'm surprised you have any weight issues - or is this a new regime with the calorie counting? about how much weight do you think you need to lose? if you buy the slimming world magazine that gives some great menu ideas (and explains the free food/super free food and syns idea quite clearly) without you having to join a class.
Good evening! In fact, all these weight jumps have been haunting many women around the world for years, and I have not been spared this problem either. As it turned out, the point is not at all a lack of physical activity, but an unhealthy diet. I started using the Proper eating app https://proper-eating.com/ to keep track of what I eat and how it affects my body. It turned out that I did not know at all before how to eat right and give my body all the necessary nutrients and vitamins to maintain a stable weight.
