Hi I was wondering if there is a link between mental health issues such as anxiety and mania and high blood sugar. I feel so much better mentally now my blood sugar is under control Fasting blood sugar down to 6

No link between actual mental illness and blood sugar but loads of correlation between mood and blood sugar levels, also some mental health issues can make people less careful about what they eat, also some meds can induce cravings including diabetes meds.

If by "Mental Health" you mean an anxiety state, phobia or depressive illness, then no, there is no direct link to hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar).
No doubt someone will come along with the obligatory link from some Journal of Psychiatry from the University of Bonga Bonga, but that is as it may be.

You may be tired, unable to concentrate, fed up, but no recognised mental disorders.
