Its So Cold

I turned my heating off at 9.30 to try and reduce my next gas bill, because the last one was so high - the price of gas has really gone up hasnt it? I am walking around with a blanket on over my clothes, but I think its probably time to go to bed. I could be feeling the cold because I am getting on in age a bit. What do other ABers think about the price of gas?

I never have heating on after 8.. The kids are in bed by then, and I just wrap up warm. My gas prices seem ok (at the moment!)

All utility bills are disgustingly high, fuel most awful. According to a programme last week we are running out of gas and will be buying it from whoever will see fit to sell it to us very soon. Blimey then they reckon the price will rise. Loads of folk are in fuel poverty according to the media. You are right wrapping up in a blanket, we do the same.

I kept trying to read the meter, but theres no way you can understand how they work the bill out. Years ago, I could read the meter and work the bill out myself, but now? Its not right that we have to be cold

Why, when we have people living in fuel poverty do we give overseas aid, when most of it is creamed off and spent by the recipients to live a lavish life in their palaces.

Yes, I do get the winter fuel allowance, but my last bill was over and above that jeza.
