I can never seem to get rid of the hair completely under my arm when shaving.  Is waxing under the arms very painful?  How long do you need to leave the hair grow and how long does it last?

I must admit I have this problem to and I tried waxing and it did hurt but it was worth it. I used Nair wax. You heat it in the microwave then spread it on and then pull it off. It stick together in one lump. Quite handy and a lot less messy.

It's the most painful area to have waxed!

I use an epilator and it's not painful now, but the first time I did my underarms it was excruciating.  I need to do it once a week (I think my hair grows twice as fast as everyone else's!)

You're probably best off having a professional wax the first time.

Waxing doesn't hurt after the first few times... It gets better the more you do it as the hairs grow back thinner. If you're doing your armpits just get a professional to do it...
