Why do people get blisters on their tongues? What can be done to prevent them or speed their recovery?

I'm surprised that mrs. landie doesn't suffer from these. She's had two jaw replacements already.
people get blisters on their tongues from kissing tramps usually. They can be prevented by sticking your tongue out opening ur mouth wide and biting down hard. If you have one you should be sure to get plenty of salty foods on it, for immediate recovery eat a whole bottle of salt (not advised)
My mum always told me people had been telling lies if they got blisters on their tongue! I don't know the real reason either, but I used to love the taste of TCP pastilles, so next time I get one I'll try some of those. Thanks andy! Oh that reminds me, I used to love Horlicks sweets as well: yummy!
