So Tired
15 Answers
I am so tired art the moment that any time I sit down I could cheerfully close my eyes and go to sleep. I have just had chicken pox so is it connected to that? (Nothing else has altered and I am sleeping at night.) Thanks.

Being ill with a so-called childhood disease is very draining. Looking after sick children is always a strain. Ive yourself some slack, you obviously need it. Just swear at the housework instead of trying to do it until you feel able.
Many years ago a colleague of mine complained of always feeling sleepy when he got home in the early evenings. He later realised that it had been due to a faulty gas appliance, leaking carbon monoxide into his home. He was lucky that the concentrations were not lethal.
Although unlikely, if you and others are regularly feeling tired/sleepy when in a room which is in close proximity to a gas appliance – consider this as a possible cause (it may save your life).

I've been like that this week, think it's still my body getting back on track after a nasty tummy bug sent a malabsorption condition loopy the other week. Think it was a mixture of that with back to work and the weather not helping, out in the bitter cold then in the warm, the warm then makes me feel more sleepy - nearly feel asleep in my book in a coffee shop after work yesterday :) Hope you feel better soon, I'm trying to sleep it out a bit, slept for 13 hours last night, had breakfast then went for another nap!
Give yourself and your body a break and try to get some nice you time, see if Mr K can help more with the kids (though I want my mum syndrome is difficult) so you can get a nice rest and a few good nights' sleep.

I had chicken pox about 23 years ago - my friend came to visit me that day and rang the doctor who said I was very bad with it she would have put me into isolation unit but because I lived on my own she said I would be fine in the house. However my friend years later told me that she never saw a worse case than mine in that my face was so contorted with the pox I looked like a monster. So it can be a dreadful thing to take late on in life. Hope you get better soon - it just takes time.
