Follow on to last nights posting re renewing house insurance with Saga.
Phoned Rias, asked lots of questions, said she would ring back in ten minutes with a quote, that was at one o clock, heard nothing since. Did confused.com only one quote available. £150 cheaper than Saga. But not familiar with the company. Rang Saga asked if they would better it. They did so staying with them as a reputable company.

Did exactly the same with our car insurance renewal quote from Saga. Thought it was high so contacted Rias who quoted £160 less for similar cover. Went back to Saga as the renewal said they would beat any like for like quote and they knocked another £15 off the Rias quote. I accepted this and renewed with Saga as they were very good when Mr BD was involved in an accident which was not his fault. They handled it very well but it makes you think that if they can insure one car for £175 less than their original quote and still make a profit then they are coining it in. How many people just accept and pay their renewal amount. This is what they rely on.
