I hurt my foot a week last Monday.

It's still painful but only when I walk. How long should I put up with the pain before consulting a doctor?

Ring for a routine appointment today - you should be seen in another week...
You should ring 111 and get a professional's advice rather than ask on here!

It's not debilitating. Just painful.
if you're not enjoying the pain.. go and get it looked at. you don't get Brownie points for waiting!

But my point is....how long should I wait?
go to the doc, and see about your other club foot whilst your at it.....

My other club foot doesn't hurt....thanks!!! :-)
excuses, excuses :-)

just make the sodding appointment
five minutes. Body in pain = something wrong.

It may be nothing, but why not be told so by someone who knows what he/she's talking about?

jno - I hate hospitals, I spent way toooo much time there as a kid.

I'm just wondering if a week and a half is a normal amount of time to still be in pain....if say it was just a sprain.
If it is a sprain a week and half is normal, if its a march fracture, you'd still be in pain but you don't know what you have done. are you still waking about on it? Have you tried some anti inflammatory gel? A week is a good amount of time to be in pain to get some advice :D
you really need a professionals advice - why not take 600mg of painkiller and see what happens?

I can still walk although it's less painful if I'm wearing shoes!!

I hurt it tripping over. I was trying to get the laptop off my OH because the search pages were still up and he'd see his birthday present :-)

Originally the pain was on my foot just below the ankle but the bruises came out by my toes. Now the pain is central and feels like it hurts on the top and the bottom of my foot.

I don't want to bother a doctor unless I really have to.

For goodness sake, a week and a half is long enough, get it seen!

That's the thing baldric, I've never sprained anything so I don't know these things.
''I hurt my foot a week last Monday''

Got it stuck in your mouth again eh...

Obviously....derr
there are approximately 20,000 things that can go wrong with your feet and I have had them all. Sounds like this ought to be some sort of sprain; but personally I go to a doctor for anything that last more than a week.
ummmm you're very good at giving advice, now take some advice and do as your told and see your doctor!xx
