Occasionally when I am going to bed I will be lying there with my eyes close and I get this weird feeling. It's as though my body is disproportionate and it can be like my arms and legs are huge but my head and torso are tiny or it can even be that my head is huge and my body is tiny. I don't know what's wrong with me?? It has happened for as long as I remember and as a child it also used to happen when I was sick. Should I go to the doctor or something I just don't know what's up with me and its kinda scary

I used to get that when i was younger...when I was awake and up,or just drifting off.
Years later I stumbled across a reference on the internet to ' Alice in Wonderland' syndrome. Not uncommon in migraine sufferers...which I developed later in life.
The syndrome refers to a change in perception of self and surroundings. Google it.
I used to get it as a child and still do occasionally if I get a bad viral infection. I remember telling my Mum about it and she said it happened to her too and was nothing to worry about so I never have.
