Hard, but it was a business transaction. Yes, i also know it's a soap, but do wonder how real-life surrogates can do it, it must be very hard.

Isn't Izzy the biological mother though? Tina was the 'carrier' of the baby, none of her genes are in the baby.

hi salla - watch it from time to time as in Emmerdale - is she the biological mother - I did believe that it was Izzy's egg was merged with can't remember his name (her partner) his sperm which would make their baby in tina's tummy - if it Tina's egg then she is half his mum - Err is that correct.

Izzy and Gary are the biological parents not Tina.I think that she is being cruel and heartless. The baby should be with his natural parents and family.

Ah! I missed a few episodes, I didn't realise it was izzy's egg, I thought it was an insemination jobby, a la turkey baster.
I suppose that does put a rather different slant on it.

But, does it not come to pass that it is actually Tommy and Tina's baby. Apparently she was pregnant before the implant and didn't know it.
