My knees and lower back especially. I still have huge blisters the size of dinner plates, on my heels. if anyone would like to donate to the charity, it's The Martlets Hospice, fundraising, Waylands Avenue, Hove, bn3 7lw east sussex. My entrant number was 2012. I know that a cheque, no matter how small, will be VERY much appreciated by them and a thank you in advance from me. I was asked right after if I would do it again and my IMMEDIATE response was a VERY emphatic NOOOOO, never again. However, after a sleep and a ton of painkillers, I think I just might do it all again. Watch this space ...
Jan ..I'll gladly donate in memory of your dad...and your efforts on Friday of course....we are going to a restaurant in fairmilehead area called the tusitala....it used to be a smallish pub...the fairmile inn I think until it was bought and massively extended and modernised....it's about half a mile down from the crossroads at fairmilehead towards Edinburgh..very very nice..
Minty, I remember the Fairmile Inn. Gosh, that was a million years ago. I'd forgotten all about it. I only went there once and as I say, about a million years ago. Thank you too minty for sending a cheque to the Martlets. Very very kind. Thank you. Likewise, my offer stands... if you are down in this area anyime, let me know. I owe you.. a what? what is YOUR tipple? Do you have favourite malt? or do you prefer a glug of vino, or McEwans special or a G & T? Whatever... I owe you. Thank you. xx
