Hi I have to make a journey on a train next week and I am totally freaking out about it already. It is from Scotland to Blackpool. Can I take valium safely when travelling I have 4 changes to make. I was thinking of taking 20mg I know it sounds a lot but I am a regular user 5mg several times a week. I just need to make this journey I have not been on a train for 7 years.

TBH, only you and your family/health care team can answer that question.
Yes it should be fine, although 20mgms is a "fair old dose" but try it tommorow and see what effect it has.

if you are not too sleepy on it, then fine, use it for your train journey.
Trouble is...with four changes to make, you'll need to keep your wits about you. Won't diazepam dull them, somewhat?
You don't want to fall asleep on the train and miss your stop.
What is the journey time in total? It might be better to spread the 20 mg dosage out over the time you will be travelling instead of taking it all at the start.
4 changes. where in Scotland are you ?
You have previously posted about your extreme distress about a short train journey. It really is your call as to whether you can undertake this journey.
