I know it is less than ideal, but I need to drop a dress size in ten days. I have lots of pretty dresses to take on holiday, but when tried on this morning, I can barely squeeze into them. They fitted perfectly when I got them. I have a physical full time job, so exercise is pretty much out of the question when I get home. I have started some sit ups but thats about it. I have swapped my sophisticated (!?!) cider and lager lifestyle for vodka, but I need inspiration.
As I have pointed out, I know a crash diet is less than ideal, I'm pretty sure I've only ever done it once in my life (I love my food!). I'm not big, but an inch or two HAS to disappear rather fast. Anyone have any tried and tested methods? I'm up for anything. If the red wine diet has worked for you I'd love you even more :D
Cut out all alcohol. You won't lose weight at all while it passes your lips.
Try the dukan diet if your health is OK, but I think you know this is a bit daft. You need your goal to be long term and sustainable and not focused on the next few weeks.
cut out the alcohol completely, and potatoes, bread, stodge, no fry ups, liking food is one thing, over indulging quite another. I wouldn't say this will work but it's worth a try, yo yo dieting isn't a good idea, it plays hell with the body...
Cut out all alcohol and fried stuff, only have one carb per meal and fast for one day eat with as much water as you like, eat normally the next and only soup the third day and rotate. Weight falls off you.
Ummmm, this may be good for me, I love cabbage. It's ordinarily the first thing to be cleared from my plate. I've never yo-yo dieted before, but think I may have attempted a crash diet before, can't remember if it worked or not. I get plenty of exercise ( near on two hours walking per day, then ten to thirteen hours per day at work, housework in between and too little sleep - too little sleep is probably where the problem is coming from as I've never had a problem with my weight before.
I can honestly say that I don't really care about the result being sustainable - I need to get from a size 10 to an 8, so if I pile on a few pounds during or after holiday it wouldn't be horrendous. I'm usually quite serious about my health - until it comes to fitting into my pretty dresses.
Be aware that AS SOON as you stop the diet, the weight will pile back again...unless you are prepared to diet on hols, you might find yourself with nothing to wear by about day 5
it only needs to last a couple if weeks! I don't tend to overindulge on holiday as 1) I'm too busy having a good time and 2) it's too friggin hot to eat
Just eat protein, and low fat cottage cheese - I lost 7 pounds in one week doing this, it's the dukan diet once you've done that for 7 days, alternate pure protein days with protein veg for as long as you need to. I am back on pure protein again today - smoked salmon and boiled egg for brekky, no sugar jelly for mid morning, salmon fillet I cooked last night with cottage cheese for lunch, garlic sausage to snack on mid afternoon, and gammon and eggs with mustard tonight - maybe a smidgen of cottage cheese again - boring - but it really works!!!
Checkout the Mayo Clinic diet online. Does work but can make you feel abit faint till you get used to it. As already stated you will put back the weight if you don't take care and the maximum time I believe is two weeks.
I use slimmers' meal replacement drinks - just like milk shakes. The brand I use is "SlimFast". It certainly works for me, but only if I can turn my back on all other food. And I mean All other food. And no canned soft drinks. Tea and coffee should be alright, but no sugar.
