Bad Night Cramps, followed By Tendonitis/plantar Fasciitis
4 Answers
About two months ago,I had the most excruciating overnight cramps in my both calves and ankles. Shortly after,I started getting a burning pain in one heel-at the back, not underneath. I also have occasional discomfort in the metatarsal (?) bone.
The pain was/is primarily in the morning or after sitting for a while.
It has increased,as I spend a lot of time on my feet. I've stopped wearing very flat shoes, my crocs have come out of hiding...I've found some stretching exercises for the ankle.
Is this likely to be due to the leg cramps? I'm not a runner or anything,so I can't think of anything else that could have caused it. Any advice appreciated.

Difficult.....like Buenchico, i find them difficult to explain and certainly the heel pain does not sound typical of plantar fasciitis.
Are you on any medication for a pre-existing condition? Thyroxine for example.
I would suggest that a trip to your GP might help a diagnosis as blood tests may indicate or exclude a thyroid disorder or an arthritic problem.
