The sun is shining and have had a lovely afternoon in a rather nice pub garden with good food, good company and good cider.

The only thing that spoilt it was my appalling sense of direction......going down the slip road of the Mototrway only to realise you are heading in the wrong direction is a bit of a bummer!

Anyway I navigated my way round through every conceivable school run across two counties and am now home in the garden with a chilled drink contemplating watering the veggies as the irrigation system appears to not be doing its thing :-(

Hope the rest of you have had a good day too!

Beautiful here. Coffee outside a small cakeshop client this morning before going around the back to see the web designer......big push on to get the retail web business launched this month.

This afternoon, work on editing but time out to take the mater on her supermarket expedition and tea in a lovely lily garden centre, the conversation, as sloopy described one, as being rather Alan Bennett.

Get the barbie out and working again this evening - simple with some nice organic local chicken and sweetcorn....just love the latter when it caramelises on the heat. Oh and the Sauv Blanc is ready
Question Author
It was all sounding lovely until you mentioned the sweet corn.........unless Cornwall is leaps and bounds ahead you must be eating imported cobs.....tsk, tsk and thrice tsk!

It is blooming' lovely on the BBQ though, especially with a chilli, lime and coriander butter ;-)
Spent the afternoon with my sister having a good old chinwag, overlooking the beautiful island of Lindisfarne.

That does sound nice, you can't beat a good view!
Well I've done very little. Sat in the garden this morning and knocked off some work, then we went caravan shopping and stopped for a wee drinkie in a very pretty pub. Now I am sitting in the garden with a pimms and about to light the barby.
Despite being at work I've enjoyed my day. Also had a lovely lunch with good company, even if I couldn't stay as long as I wanted :)

And when I got back I heard my boss telling our big contractor I was a 'superstar'. Although I think he only said it cos he knew I could hear him. Lol.

On, and I found out I became an auntie again last night. I'm in a good mood. For once :)

I'm going to be in your neck of the woods next month Barmaid and all on my lonesome for a couple of nights...fancy being my drinking buddy? Unless you want to talk caravans, in which case I might settle for a quiet pint and a copy of Farmers Weekly to keep me company ;-)

Evian, I'm sure you are a superstar! Does the new baby have a name???
Good food , interesting beer (Belgian fruit beer on draught) and excellent company for a sunny afternoon. Fascinating old pub too.
Oooh Eccles - definitely!! (That's if I am not still grounded after this weekend lol)

I promise not to talk about caravans!

Whereabouts (broadly) will you be?
-- answer removed --
Harrummpphhhh! I went to the dentist...though he is so dishy and always worth staring at...even with my mouth open and dribbling.
Had a bit of bad news so I have had a glass of red to toast a lost friend and now I am going to knock the sh*t out of some paving slabs.
Glad you all had a good time in the sunshine though and Eccles....
caravans are fascinating...when we meet I will tell you all about the fantastic system we had for pumping water....;-) x
I am going to knock the sh*t out of some paving slabs.

Why gness, what have they done to you ?.
No, Tony...not the slabs...they are lovely. A friend died so I have toasted her and am now taking the unfairness of life out on the slabs. x

How to put the dampers on a thread...:-( x
Barmaid - you have incoming on FB

dave x
Fairy nuff, gness. Give them a smack for me then.
Question Author
That was an accidental Best Answer to Dave but quite appropriate in fact!

Barmaid, I think it is Thornhaugh.....or thereabouts.....

I do have a fascination about the canny use of space in boats and caravans but rather see it than discuss it....

Don't get me started on dentists Gness.... sorry to hear of your loss, a glass of something to wish them on their way is always a good thing.

This may be completely inappropriate given your friends demise but I have just ventured out of the veg patch having nearly taken out one eye and given myself a mastectomy on a bamboo cane, there were also some words of encouragement from the Vicar when he heard my cursing..... :-(

Blimey, Eccles...for goodness sake stick some balls on your bamboo canes! x
The babies name.... Eerrrr...

Matilda.

Matilda Skyler 'Surname'

*snigger*

Stirrer! ;)
Question Author
There ARE some balls on the bamboo, my husband ventured into the veg patch on Sunday night ;-)

Stirrer......moi?
bit of a downer for me as Red had a bit of a setback nothing too serious but it will mean he could be in fair bit longer than we hoped. TBH the two hours each way journey is kn@cker1ng me hot smelly buses full of whining kids and morons telling the whole bus the minutiae of their lives while on their mobiles to their friends What evah innit!!!
