the way i was taught to get a decent nights sleep, and believe me it's not easy, was to go to bed at a set time, say 10pm, lights out, no radio, tv, computer in the bedroom, and no coffee say after later afternoon, as it's too much of a stimulant, curtains shut, and settle in, it does work, but takes time to kick in get the body into a set routine, used to it, staying asleep may be a problem, once it's light we seemed to be programmed to wake, but if curtains are closed then it should help, except for the heat of course... other than that don't know what else, problems are one of the reasons people can't sleep....
