Morning smow. xxx If it last long enough you will soon get used to it. :o}
can you open a window, as that is usually better than a fan -

Have windows open too, Think because we are a terrace our house just holds heat.

Morning wbm : )
i find the problem is not so much the heat at the humidity, like being in a greenhouse, i am usually awake early these days whether i like it or not, or whether it's summer or winter...

Im happy to be wide awake at this time em - as long as ive had some form of sleep x
It's the best time of day. :o}
the way i was taught to get a decent nights sleep, and believe me it's not easy, was to go to bed at a set time, say 10pm, lights out, no radio, tv, computer in the bedroom, and no coffee say after later afternoon, as it's too much of a stimulant, curtains shut, and settle in, it does work, but takes time to kick in get the body into a set routine, used to it, staying asleep may be a problem, once it's light we seemed to be programmed to wake, but if curtains are closed then it should help, except for the heat of course... other than that don't know what else, problems are one of the reasons people can't sleep....
I never close the vertical blinds in the bedroom, the widow has been open for the past two weeks, the door is never closed for good air flow. Different people different things work.
leaving doors open here wouldn't work, i wouldn't like to think who is lurking..
bowl of ice in front of the fan and good luck I can sleep through anything
Join the club! I went to bed at half past midnight, read for half an hour and then laid dow, and went straight to sleep. I woke up at 3am and have been awake ever since. I now feel like a zombie! I just couldnt go back to sleep, was too hot and lots of noises outside .
I agree, we have all the bedroom windows wide open (luckily bedroom is upstairs and not a bungalow) and the fan on all night. Have just looked out in the street and not one of the neighbours on our estate have any bedroom windows open at all. How do they do it, I would roast to death!
have the bedroom window open for a lovely breeze ... dog comes and lies in front of me
Aren't you suppose to have the windows closed to keep the cool air in?
The high pressure's affecting the little radio in our bedroom - I love to listen to the radio if I wake up in the night, but all I could get was a load of static and some loud French pop music. The weather often interferes with our radio and TV signals, them Frenchies still want to take over.... :-)
Smowball, when we lived in a hot country everyone kept their curtains or blinds closed in hot weather during the day, this kept the sun from warming the rooms up too much. Have an aerosol of evian water ( other waters are available lol!) and mist yourself, the evaporation will cool you down. Am I right in thinking you may be in the USA? , just a thought as you are using Fahrenheit not centigrade?
Morri - some of us UK oldies still talk temperatures in "old money" LOL - that is, Fahrenheit not centigrade!
smow's in the UK, many of us still use Fahrenheit to deonte extreme temperatures!
Folk suffering in this "heat wave" must be youngsters and not experienced a real one yet. This is just a rare bright period. Still waiting for the need for fans and air conditioning to arrive. Off like a light when I hit the bed at night, at present.
