brain mamya, quite scary for theguys at work but I knew nowt about it as the pain knocked me out
Question Author
the doc is writing to my go for a referral to a neurologist and I,be got tomorrow off to recover
I should think it was very scary indeed , am sure they will follow up the results of the CT and see what if anything else is advised.
Question Author
oh the doc had the results back before I had woken up, said it was clear, the injection knocked me out but sorted out the head pain, it was like a star trek injection
Dot, very scary, I hope you get sorted and have no ill effects xx
Question Author
probably shouldn't, be using this tablet as I'm supposed to be resting in bed but I,m stupid like that. it,s not as glaring as the laptop screen tho.
Question Author
l couldn't 't drive either so my car is stuck at work.
Not much to go on Dotty and i can only assume that you had a sudden attack of severe pain in the head followed by a loss of consciousness.
Details pretty scarce and i am not sure of the significance of a C-T Scan.
I would presume that the first thing that came to mind would have been a subarachnoid haemorrhage from an aneurysm of the blood vessel of the brain.

Clearly that is not the case.

The next thing that comes to mind is an acute attack of migraine or neuralgia.

Vascular spasm is when a blood vessel suddenly "clamps up" and no blood passes through.

I can only reassure you that it is not life threatening and unlikely to happen again.

A nuerological opinion will be more enlightening.

you've got it in one there, cos my words were slurred when I got to a and e he sent me for the ct scan straight after the sumowotsit jab, he told me I had a flicker in one eye. apparently it was better to get the scan quick than wait to see if the injection worked, cluster headache and vascular spasm he wrote down
Question Author
apparently when I came round on the shop floor I said the fence had collapsed, lol
Sumatriptan......that was the injection and is for Migrainous Neuralgia.

Not life threatening....no big deal.....you may need an MRIscan as a precautionay measure.
Question Author
bit of context, when I was 8 and my brother was 5 I tried to lift him over the fence behind the house into the back field where there were some new calves, we both fell and I still have the scar from the barbed wire, anyway, I know I was dreaming of that when I woke up in the shop
LOL...no connection.......
Question Author
better not be life threatening I,m too busy, but thanks, u make me feel a lot better now x
Good cus I am off to bed.......
