No doubt you have been waiting with baited breath for my update so...
I saw the GP today as the pain and walking difficulty is such a nuisance. He is fed up writing to the vascular consultant and getting no reply bar one which was such nonsense that we both decided he hadn't really been listening to me. One sentence said I was now ABLE to wear high heels.....oh dear.
So, he asked if I would like to start again..or almost...with a new consultant in a different area. I have chosen Peterborough. We shall see.
He also diagnosed the pain in the foot that fell out of the door as something that sounds like Plantar Fancytights and offered a steroid injection. Will try exercise for that before accepting.
While in the queue at the surgery a nice man came and asked if I was poorly. I told him no, I just had a sore leg. He smiled, crouched down and asked if he could rub it better. Do they lie in wait for me?...... :-(
This has been a year now and the only real help I have had was from you so I shall repay the debt...one day...;-) x

Yepp! it has been medicine "at it's best." Plantar fasciitis. Give the steroid injection a miss until the pain gets severe.
Peterborough eh? is that private or NHS?
Question Author
NHS, Sqad. Started privately with this chap and a waste of money that was.
A short wait at Peterborough it seems too.....step son was a consultant there and I know one or two people..not that it should make a difference but I'm not fussed how I do it now as long as I can walk well. x

Nonsense.....pull a few strings.

Aged 16, I got a summer job as a Ward Orderly at Peterborough Memorial Hospital...;-)

If there are strings I can pull I shall, Sqad.....but I've also had some good advice from the GP today and I can't get two consultants who are dolally..
...and in a hissy fit because they are being sued.....can I? x
LOL......keep me informed.

I shall and thank you...x

Morning, Sqad. Yesterday I saw the guy I wanted to at Peterborough City. Both he and the hospital were fantastic.
He is ordering more tests on the artery but noticed, while he was examining me, some symptoms that didn't quite fit.
He did a few more simple tests and is referring me to a neurosurgeon to investigate nerve damage in my foot.
I would think that is from the fall in March...but we shall see.
I am at least now happy with the treatment, whatever the outcome. I don't feel as if I am hitting my head against the wall anymore...x
