You will be put in an ungainly position with your thighs parted and a gel of local anaesthetic will be squeezed into your waterpipe (urethra) at the entrance to your vagina. after waiting for the anaesthetic to work, about 10 mins, a flexible tube will be passed the short distance into your bladder. a biopsy may or may not be taken and the whole procedure should take no more than 15mins. Painless throughout. Home within the hour.

Hi kat. I have a camera in the bladder every single year, due to previous tumours in the bladder. my ten yrs are up this September and that should be the finish all being well and fingers crossed.
I watch my bladder on the tele screen and feel amazed by it all and what it looks like. it really is a doddle, no pain or trouble at all.
But saying that, a few times I have to have a special probe around and I have to be put out for that as they say it could be too painfull if awake.
I hope my little post helps to put your mind at rest and no worry too much.
I'm quite looking forward to my last app some time in Sept this yr.
