Where did this odd custom of drawing heavy brows come from.
Just watching tv, and several of the young ladies have heavy black brows, even though they are fair or blonde.

One extreme to t'other.
That's fashion for ya....
Scouse brows they're called, I'm not personally a fan unless I'm wearing Arabic makeup, that's the only time I go heavy with my eyebrows.
Bette than those really thin arched pencil lines.
There is a lady I know who shaves her off completely and then draws them back on. WHY???
Horrible.

Oh, I knew a lady who did that, looked totally ridiculous.
She always looked so surprised.
S'pose its better than the mono-brow look. Mine seem to be disappearing.
I know quite a few people who have had theirs tattooed on!

Many moons ago, I knew a beautician who had eyeliner tatooed on, the thought makes me cringe.
My daughter actually paid someone to thread hers. It looked painful.
Threading is great. I only tried it in last year and quite enjoy it! Quick and pain is quite low on richter scale.

I am scared of my eyebrow lady, she seems to relish pulling out the white ones, boy, do they hurt!
I have mine threaded, it stings a bit but not anywhere near as bad as having them plucked. I hate that.

My lady jokes about 'gas and air' - it really does hurt, I kid you not.
I started plucking my eyebrows when it was 'in' for them to be quite thin and I've been doing it so long they don't grow back properly now so I draw mine on sometimes. Although I'm not talking full on scouts brow, just fattening them up a little bit. And although its really not that obvious I tend to only do it when I'm going out for the night, to a dimly lit bar :)
Scouse, not scouts.
It can look very attractive. (On some ladies)
I know a chap who fell into a drunken stupor at a party and woke to fine one of them had been shaved off.
Also, maybe it's just because I've got used to it but I can honestly say I don't think plucking is painful at all. Except when you accidentally yank ten out at once.
i agree with shari....i just don't get why people rip bits off and then draw them in again. they look stupid. and scouse brows are plain ugly. you may as well have a monobrow and a moustache!!!!
