Cramp In Legs
13 Answers
I've been having cramp in my legs, for the past few nights. I don't get it in the day, just when I go to bed. Sometimes it develops into full-blown cramp and I have to bolt out of bed and walk around in pain, but the majority of the time it's just this weird 'crampy feeling, like the feeling you get just before the cramp kicks in the spasm sets in.
What would cause this?
Thanks.

I find that heat doesn't help so in addition to painkillers I have before bed anyway I rub on some pain cream or gel and make sure my legs and feet are really nice and cool (I always have a variety of sheets, humidifier on timer and window open anyway). I've got a spray from Boots for my legs and one of those cold sprays from the pound shop and usually pop a quick spray on each of my wrists to help cool my body down.
I sleep on my back whenever possible with a big pillow either under my feet or knees.
When I get an actual cramp I try to let the cramp do its thing and not fight it and tense up and push the cramp out, I try and relax and when it calms down try to gently exercise whatever is cramped up out.
