Exercise!
I have a treadmill which i use 3 times a week for 20 mins but I also bought the new twist and shape which is like a stepper which gives you cardio workout and tonign up bum legs abdominals thighs etc! I'm bored with the treadmill so I need some help in a workout plan using the 2. Since having the treadmill I have better stamina and tined up, would the twist and shape keep me with the same fitness levels if I just used that?
thanks

Really, it depends what you want to achieve as well as your current shape/fitness level and lifestyle.
You know how hard each piece of equipment makes you work - if the twisty thing doesn't get you as out of breath it won't build on the fitness levels achieved from the treadmill. Also as you get better you have to keep making the workout harder - it is rewarding - you feel so good when you look back and remember how hard doing 10mins running was six months down the line.
Can you change the programme on the treadmill - I know you are meant to have them on a 1% incline anyway - if you did a different programme each time that might make it more interesting? I'd alternate between the two pieces of equipment, five days a week, with 2 non-consecutive rest days. I think you will also need to increase beyond 20 mins - more like 30, although if you have any health issues run it all past your GP. You need to keep your pulse between a certain range to be safe and effective.
Also - get some good music!! that helped me a lot! Good luck.
Hiya, sorry this isn't really an answer to your question but I am bored with my elliptical cross trainer and like the sound of your twist and shape stepper but I haven't heard of this can you give me the detail of who makes it cost and where you got it from please.
I would listen to your favourite music whilst on the treadmill, I used to vary my routine by breaking it into 5 minutes of different inclines and speed if thats of any help! Why not try just giving the treadmill a miss for a couple of weeks and then go back to it.
Hope thats of some help.
