My Guinea Pigs, Ant & Dec

My guinea pigs are brothers and get along really well...you would think my cat would be interested in them...but she is SCARED!!! Chelsea ( the cat ) and Ant an Dec, have a joint birthday 22nd of August. My guineas are only just, a year old. So on their birthday I made them both hats and Chelsea one....I placed the hat on Chelsea, then put Ant on the bed, Dec was first to be placed next to her. She hissed and ran away! My guinea pigs nearly had a heart-attack. Ant and Dec ( the guineas ) are mine, and Chelsea is the family cat. Any advice to help Chelsea get used to the guinea pigs? Thanks in advance...:)

Cats have little tolerance for lesser beings. Unless your guinea pigs are free ranging why are you bothered about the interaction between the two?

As an aside, why are you dressing your pets up in hats and expecting them to enjoy the experience? They are unlikely to be disappointed if you miss their birthday......
