I'm totally stuck on this one.
Q 19 - an ancient war engine for hurling stones (8 letters)
Must have some connection to the zodiac.
All answers I've found don't fit the number of letters except Catapult but I can't make a connection to the zodiac with that.
Would really appreciate some help.

Thanks all - I'm still not sure. The ballista does indeed look like a bow and so the link to Sagittarius but doesn't look like it's for hurling stones. The mangonel does look like it would hurl stones but as you say - no connection with zodiac. Help !!

The onelook dictionary site says the ballista was used to hurl stones.

I have put catapult linked it with lion being of the cat family probably totally wrong
