Not long come back from hospital for my last 10 yr check on bladder, and hey, was shocked to find the results werent what what i expected them to be.
Flexi camera showed up what looked like furry patches (in bladder) on the screen, and I'm gutted. So waiting for a general aenasthetic and I'm not a happy bunny tonight. Oh well, others are worse off than me so i shouldnt moan too much. Bang goes our 2 weeks in Spain as I have to go in for the op in the next 2--3 weeks. Got to try and cheer up tonight or i wont wont to eat my dinna!!!

Oh sorry puss, please cheer up x
Sorry to hear that, I hope all goes well for you.
Oh, that is a shame! The good news is that it's been found and you're being looked after. All the best for operation. Hopefully, you can then have a holiday with some peace of mind xx
Hopefully, all will be well for Christmas then you can plan your next holiday in the New Year. Best wishes to you.

trt, 10 yrs ago it started with tumours and had a few ops and immunotherapy treatment, a type of chemo and its kept it at bay, so today was a big shock as I really thought this is the end of it all.
Wont count my chickens before they've hatched ever again.
Hi pusskin granddad grump had a kidney out 15 years ago and he still goes for an annual bladder check. His surgeon asked if he wanted to carry on and as it only once a year he thought why not at least someone is keeping an eye on it. Hope that yours is just a blip and every thing goes ok Chin up - I know that its annoying but hey Spain isn't going anywhere. Good Luck

Hi granny, yes, this bladder trouble seems to go and on and no let up.
So sorry grandad had his kidney out, as i have hoped and still hope it doesnt get that bad, so I do stay positive and not have negative thoughts, up till now that is. Good job that hospitals look after us well and I have no complaints at all.
Wish you you Abers a healthy bladder!!!!!
Hi Puss, this 'last ten year check' obviously came at the right time,
The holiday may be off for now, but on the up side, you are in good hands, and once its all over you can plan many more hols to come. X
Keep smiling. x

Thanks so much for all your replies, and its made me feel a bit easier today.
Yesterday news was such a shock as i was really smiling walking in the hosp knowing that was the end of that lot!
Will update when I hear any more news. xx
puskin....I am making a lot of assumptions here base on your posts, and if i am barking up the wrong tree, then ignore my post.

You probably had a low grade cancer treated by insufflations of BCG into the bladder and had routine check-ups for 10 years.
If so could you not ask for the cystoscopy to be done when you return from your holiday in Spain?

Sqad, The Doctor didnt suggest us going on holiday and having the op done after, he didnt look too pleased and said that he thinks it should be done in the next 2--3 weeks.
After having tumours previously , i assumed the tumours have returned, but it didnt look like that on the tele screen i was watching.
it showed these patches of whatever it was inside the bladder wall.
pusskin....O.K.....just a thought..;-)

Thanks all for being so caring!!! x pusskins
Well I know you are disappointed about the holiday, but your health comes first, hopefully you can go when you have recovered and do so in the knowledge that all is well. Sorry to hear this, we all seem to have our share of bad times this year, personally cannot wait for the new year. But we said that last year. Keep your chin up, and all the best.
